WEDNESDAY NIGHT IN THE MISSION
SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN THE MISSION
Basic Event Information
| Q: |
What are "Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Mission?" |
| A: |
Events in the Mission are a unique opportunity for models
and photographers to get together to shoot in a small, intimate
environment at an affordable price. Four times a month we'll get
together in our Mission District studio with three photographers and
one or two models. On Wednesdays, it will be from 6:00PM to 8:300PM.
On Saturdays, it will be from 11:00AM to 1:30PM. You'll be shooting with the
models in a small group environment. After the event,
we'll make the studio available for individual, one-on-one shoots.
To be fair, we'll allow photographers to book the models at thirty
minute intervals and then alternate to the next shooter. More
importantly, if you like a model and want to work with her again,
you'll be able to use the studio any available day that week for a
charge of just $15 per hour. That makes the event a low cost
way to meet talent followed by the opportunity to shoot them
individually at a cost you can afford. |

|
| Q: |
What kinds of
kinds of events will you have in Nor. Cal.? |
| A: |
We've got a
full schedule planned with a great deal of variety. Here are
the event types we currently have planned:
|
Mission Glamour |
Small.
"Glamour Bash" style events held in our smaller studio.
As with any Glamour Bash, the models at these events will
pose in glamour styles, which will include swimsuit and
lingerie along with some form of nudity. We define
nudity as implied nudity, topless or Playboy style nudity.
The event description will have the details on the
individual models and their limits. |
| |
|
|
Mission Fashion |
Small events
with an emphasis on "Fashion Style" photography.
Models for these events will be featuring fashion wardrobe
and will pose in fashion styles. All models at a
fashion event will be over eighteen so we will allow edgier
fashion for those models who would like to pose in those
styles. That might include some upscale lingerie,
sheer materials or fashion style, implied topless.
There will, however, be no full nudity at these events in
that they are targeted for the fashion crowd, not the
glamour crowd. |

|
|
Mission Teens |
Small events
which feature new, up and coming teen models from thirteen
years of age to seventeen. The models' parent will be
present at all shoots for your security an to sign a release
if you negotiate one. Since these are teen models, you
can expect the event to be "teen appropriate." What
that means is no lingerie, no sheers, no thongs and no
implied topless. There will be teen appropriate
fashion, and at the discretion of the model and her parents,
we will allow some swimwear. Teen events are lower
priced, but more importantly, they let you work with some
great new talent. The fashion industry revolves around
teen models. This is an opportunity to learn how to
work with them in a safe and appropriate manner. |

|
Mission Art |
Small events
geared towards the fine art photographer. Typically
these events will revolve around fine art nudes. At
some events we will feature fine art nudes with either two
female models posing together or a male/female combination.
What needs to be remembered though is that while these are
nude events, they are shot in fine art style. We'll
set up lighting to reflect the situation. Just as
importantly, the poses will be artistic in their nature. |
| |
|
|
Mission Workshop |
Small
workshops intended to teach various techniques important to
studio photography. For the remainder of 2008, we have
workshops planned on the more traditional things, such as
lighting but also on things such as the application and
photography of body paints, theatrical make-up and hair
along with a variety of other interesting topics.

key above, you will know at a glance what kind of event we are
having on a particular date. |

|
| Q: |
How will I know
if it is a Wednesday event or a Saturday event? |
| A: |
Because
we hold events in both Nor. Cal. and So. Cal., we can't overlap our
weekend events. Our plan is simple. On weeks when we are
having an event at our So. Cal. facility, we will have a Wednesday
Night in the Mission event in Nor. Cal. On all other
weekends, we'll have our events on Saturdays. We never do
weekend events on holiday weekends so you may see our schedule
adjusted to accommodate the holidays. Since our studio is
smaller in Nor. Cal., we are committed to having an event every week
so that we can make room for everyone who wants to come. These
are small groups and we fill up quickly every time. If we find
the demand or get the request, we will occasionally have a special
event, mid-week. |

|
| Q: |
What kinds of
facilities do you have in your Mission District Studio? |
| A: |
Our
studio in the Mission District is a single room, about three hundred
square feet in size. It is
much smaller than our
Los Angeles facility which is about 4,000 square feet. Despite
its size, it is extremely well equipped. We have studio
lights, many paper backgrounds and muslin drops as well as a variety
of props. We also have a great assortment of soft boxes,
umbrellas, snoots, grids, scrims, flags and more. While the
studio is small, it is set up to maximize the space and allow you to
capture some great images. |
